EFT Couples Therapist
You hold the key to change
“Change is not just about knowing the path but also daring to take the first step. In our sessions, we’ll embrace your journey with respect and love, unlocking the potential for transformation and deeper connections.”
Dana’s Approach To Therapy
In my role as a therapist, I am committed to fostering an environment where you can openly express your concerns and aspirations. I work with individuals and couples who are facing challenges in their relationships, struggling with communication, and navigating the complexities of family dynamics. For those in late adolescence and young adulthood, I provide guidance through life’s transitions, from managing stress and anxiety to enhancing self-esteem and social connections.
My goal is to create a therapeutic space filled with warmth and free from judgment, a place where you can comfortably share and explore your vulnerabilities. I am a firm believer in the capacity for change and the power of approaching issues from new perspectives that nurture respect and love.
Through therapy, we will uncover your innate strengths and develop your problem-solving skills. Utilizing evidence-based methods like Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy and Gottman techniques, I work with couples to reinforce their bond, establish trust, and cultivate intimacy. Remember, it’s not about knowing how to change—it’s about your willingness to pursue it. I am here to support you and accompany you on your path to healing and growth.
From those I’ve worked with…
My wife and I were at a crossroads when we decided to contact Holding Hope. It was our first time seeing a couples therapist, and we could not be happier with the decision. Our therapist, Dana, has been an absolute joy to work with, helping us to organize our emotions, communicate our concerns and fears, argue better, and come together as a team rather than individually trudging through large life events. She is non-judgmental, compassionate, empathic, insightful, and even funny, and she has done wonders for our relationship. I never thought I would say this, but I actually ENJOY couples therapy in New York City, and I would highly recommend, and have, couples therapy to others, especially if they’re lucky enough to have a supportive counselor like Dana.
My husband and I began working with Dana at the height of the pandemic. It was an incredibly trying time for our family. It was also our first time entering couples therapy so we were a bit nervous about the whole process. Needless to say it was the best thing we could have done for our marriage and our family. Working with Dana has been a blessing. She is insightful, compassionate, supportive, non-judgemental and just about our favorite person (besides our kid). We have learned so much about how to communicate, how to hear and respond to one another, and even how to argue in a more productive and healthy way. She has been a true light in our lives and we are forever grateful for her professionalism and consistency.
We began weekly couples sessions with Dana in Spring 2021, when we were struggling with a lot of pressures from unemployment, family issues, and deciding whether or not to move away from the city. Dana always greeted us with warmth, understanding, and enthusiasm, and she made sure to validate each of our feelings individually while helping us to understand one another’s perspectives better. With her help, we successfully made it through one of the most stressful chapters of our life together.
